Xiaomi shares info related to Android Pie update on its initial devices

Software is a cruical part of any smartphone. Knowing that a company will back up a device with the bug fixes ,improvements and new features give users peace of mind. However, growing numbers of devices make it hard for the manufacturers to provide the latest software updates for its devices since it is a very time consuming process, manufacturers stick to issung the latest updates to their latest devices such as Xiaomi which has announced the Android 9.0 Pie and Android 8.0 Oreo updates for some of its smartphone range.

Here is a list of the smartphones that will get the Android 9.0 Pie update.

None of these smartphones are available in India yet. Xiaomi is currently testing the software on phones such as the Mi Mix 2s, Mi 8, and the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. These phones have also received the update in some regions, such as China.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus (Redmi Note 5 in India)
Xiaomi Mi 5X

Xiaomi has also released a list of smartphones that have already received the Android Oreo update such as the Mi MIX, Mi MIX 2, Mi 5, Mi5S ,Mi 5S Plus, Mi 6, Mi Note 2 and the Mi Note 3. Moreover if you own a smartphone that is part of the Android One program such as the Xiaomi Mi A2, then your device will get the latest updates faster than other devices.
