Xiaomi Mi 9 European availability reaches Netherlands

The Xiaomi Mi 9 was finally presented to the world at this year’s MWC, the device was introduced in Spain, France, and Italy with an attractive price tag of €450 ($511) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB variant, going up to €499 ($567) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage variant. Despite the company’s interest to triple Mi Stores in Europe, it does not have one in the Netherlands, so it is up to retailers to offer the cheap flagship, and that’s basically what the local company Belsimpel is doing.

The Dutch retailer is currently offering the Xiaomi Mi 9 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage for €549 ($624), but potential customers will benefit from the immediate shipping that reseller is offering.

The retailer is also offering subscription plans with the device. If you go for TELE2 you’ll be able to get 20GB data per month for two years, which will cost you approximately $12 per month for the plan. The costs for delivery and connection will also be charged, but they are just minimal if you consider the full price of the flagship.

Xiaomi’s Mi 9 is a powerful package of specs for a considerably low price, while the competition is easily breaking the $1000 barrier, Xiaomi is here with its newest hit to prove that premium design and high specs are possible at a low cost. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 855 and has a powerful 48MP camera setup powered by the Sony’s IMX586 sensor. The Retailer is currently offering it only the Piano Black color. The handset offers dual SIM functionality, an under display fingerprint scanner, and MIUI 10 with Android 9 Pie running atop.

We don’t know how Besimpel will perform with the Mi 9 but would be interesting if Xiaomi keeps an eye in the demand. If the device proves successful in the Netherlands, then it will be a strong reason for the Chinese Behemoth to launch a Mi Store there.
